The Value of Good Constructive Feedback

I am really glad that I have put my store through etsy.com. It is a great handcrafted community that enables people to do what they love but also has a forum to get good advice about your store, and general business advice - like advertising, photography, descriptions, and life in general.

I have just spent the past few hours posting questions and comments and it has been a very educating time. It made me feel so much better to know that not everyone knows everything about how to run a small business - especially an art or craft business. The suggestions and feed back I have received have been great. I know now how I am going to try to turn my online sales around and have a more effective e-business.

That is to say, this is sort of a weird and hard time to have retail sales...according to a lot of people I have spoken to, say that because it is after christmas and other holidays that people are still recovering and arent really ready to splurge on themselves. I totally understand...sometimes it gets hard though.


Goals for this week:

• Head to Savannah, GA and check out boutiques and hand out DVDs
• Mail out a few more DVDs and do phone call follow-ups
• Make springy pieces of jewelry
• take new pictures for etsy site (thanks to new feedback!)

• stay confident
